It is with great sadness that the family of MICHAEL CHARLES CARNEY announces his sudden passing on November 10, 2024.  Michael was born January 15, 1971, to William Michael Carney and Marcella Rose Carney (nee Sigler).  Michael was a devoted husband to his wife, Elaine May Carney, and an incredibly loving father to children, Pelé Michael Carney and Johnathan William Carney.

Michael was cherished for his warmth, kindness, generosity, and steady calming presence in a storm.  He worked hard and put his family first. He provided leadership, never hesitating to give his time and attention to those he loved. He was creative, adventuresome, and fun-loving. His positivity, sense of humor, and wonderful cooking will be greatly missed.

Michael was an avid soccer player and US Soccer fan.  He loved nature and the outdoors and enjoyed many camping trips with his family. Michael was wicked smart, loved music, and hosted a great St. Patrick's Day party.

He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and became Managing Director at Accenture before retiring to become Vice President of Technology at Westfield Insurance.  Michael was a proud Clevelander, a vocal feminist, and wonderful brother to Marcy Krance (Tony), John Carney (Jenny), Barbara Finowski, Susan Beeman (Russ, deceased), Bridget Scileppi (Patrick), Bill, Marion Frehmeyer (Dale, deceased), Patricia Dunbar (Marcus, deceased), Theresa Jackson, Colleen Figueira (Brent), and Cathy Marein (Mark).

Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 4-6 P.M. The family will conclude the visitation with a small service and celebration of Michael's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:
