MICHAEL T. "MIKE" MARTELL, born October 4, 1944, passed away on January 16, 2026 at the age of 81. A resident of Medina, Ohio, Mike was the devoted husband of Kathleen “Kathy”(nee Duresky), with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a proud and loving father to Gary (Chris) Martell and to his late daughter, Kathryn “Kate” (Cameron) Rose. Mike took great pride in his grandchildren Jake and Lauren Martell and Michael, Myla, and Ben Rose. He is also survived by his niece Cindy Amweg, family and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his loving daughter Kate and his brother Gary Martell.

Mike proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War, a service he carried with quiet honor and humility throughout his life.

He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, faith and his deep love for those closest to him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 31, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Adalbert Church, 66 Adalbert Street, Berea. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
