MICHAEL RAYMOND WERNER, 67 of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday December 8, 2020. Michael (or "Mark" as many knew him) was a lifelong musician, a veteran of the United States Army and a bugler in the U.S. Army Band, an amateur meteorologist, a grower and connoisseur of fresh peppers, and his own man. Michael was a devoted music lover, player, and composer. In his trumpet playing days, Michael was a guest performer at Severance Hall with the Cleveland Orchestra and played in a Dixieland band in the Cleveland Flats. Since then, he has played bass guitar in a variety of bands, right up to his last performance in October 2020. Michael is survived by his wife Robin, daughter Jessica (Turnbow) of Arizona, son Jacob of Arizona, granddaughter Zoe, grandsons Zander and Adam, siblings Linda (Chesnik), Steven, Gary, and Bob of California, many nieces and nephews, and scores of bandmates and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Melvin, mother, Geraldine, and sister, Nancy. The family will conduct a private memorial service. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society. "Later," Mike.
