NANCY E. PAXTON (nee Borgmann) passed away on July 13, 2026, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Gail Harry Paxton; loving daughter of the late Elizabeth A. (nee Kelley) and Harry R. Borgmann, Sr.; dearest sister of Patricia Miller (Francis), Elizabeth Musolf (Timothy), and Marcella Slusher (Bradley, deceased); Harry R. Borgmann, Jr. (deceased) (Jane), John K. Borgmann (deceased) (Gail), Thomas J. Borgmann (Susan) (both deceased); sister-in-law of Joyce Ellis (David, deceased), Jeanne Hicks (David, deceased), Rosemary Thomascheske, Charles Paxton (deceased) and Carl Paxton (deceased); and dear aunt and great aunt to many including the late Robert J. Miller, Nicholas J. Borgmann, Roger Hicks and Richard Paxton.
Nancy was a long-term employee of The Cleveland Clinic retiring in 2020. She held various roles, the most recent as Managing Supervisor of the Patient Testing Centers (P.T.C.). During her life, Nancy enjoyed reading, baking, golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She and Gail traveled nearly all the states, often camping along the way. They also traveled to Mexico and Dominican Republic a few times seeking new adventures. Nancy and Gail adored each other and, together, they stood cheering on those they loved. She was kind, generous and had a heart of gold. She will be missed terribly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 7th, at 1:00 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, where friends may call FRIDAY, AUGUST 7th, 11 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Inurnment Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank family, friends, Cleveland Clinic providers, Northwestern Ohio Hospice team, Walker Funeral Home of Genoa, the Allen Clay Joint Fire District & Chambers Funeral Home for their care and compassion during Nancy’s journey home.
