NANCY L. SITZLER (nee Hamilton) age 65. Loving mother of Amber Twarek (Zach); grandmother of Carter and Hayes; daughter of Betty Warren (nee Bales)(the late Gene) and the late Kenneth Hamilton; sister of Margaret Basile, Mike Hamilton (Pam), Edie Smith, Teddy Hamilton and the late K.C. Hamilton and Jeanne Cutshaw; aunt, cousin and Nana to many.

Nancy was born in Norfolk, Virginia and lived throughout the Eastern U.S. before deciding in 1982 that Cleveland was where she wanted to raise her daughter Amber and set down roots.  Though her family later teased her for her reasons – Nancy had chosen Cleveland based on its relative lack of extreme weather – the decision proved to be the right one as she happily called Cleveland home for the rest of her life.

After many years in the food service industry, Nancy found her work family at Sherwin-Williams, where she played an integral part in hardware support amongst a tightly knit team. Over the past 16 years, she earned a reputation for "keeping the team in line" through her candor, wit, and integrity.

Nancy's second nature was to take care of others. She was incredibly generous, and never hesitated to volunteer her time (and others) when someone was in need. Her resilience and positivity in the face of adversity was beyond measure.

The consummate hostess, Nancy loved to entertain the friends and family she held so dear.  She enjoyed relaxing in her pool, making frequent road trips to Chicago, and constantly redecorating the house.  She cherished her relationships as a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Ultimately, though, Nancy's greatest passion in life was playing the role of Nana, in which she showered her grandsons, Carter and Hayes, and great-nephew, Milo, with endless love, adoration, and affection.

Passed away April 5, 2022. Funeral Service Sunday, April 10, at 3:00 PM. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS where friends may call SUNDAY 1:00 PM.  UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Private family interment Monday, April 11, Sherman Cemetery, Sherman, New York.
