NELSON W. HAVILAND, JR., age 88, passed away peacefully on Tues., Dec. 1st, at home in Brook Park in the loving arms of his childen. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Gillespie); loving father of Ted (Pat), Tim (Debbie), Holly Keegan, Sean, Seamus (deceased) and Brian (Lena); grandfather of 13 and great grandfather; beloved son of the late Nelson W. Sr. and Melba (nee Standley); brother of Jean Bartoo (Ed, deceased). Known to many as "Uncle Junnie." Served in the U.S. Navy 75th Seabees WWII Pacific Theatre. Joyful and dedicated 43 years of service with Ohio Bell Telephone Co. Twenty years of service as Scout Master with Assumption Troop 511 and St. Adalbert Troop 345. He left with all of us his great spirit of adventure and his love of the great outdoors. He spread laughter and his love of life through his compassion and caring of others. His children felt privileged to take care of him at home in the last months of his life...until we meet again.
