NICK WUKOVICH
With deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Nick Wukovich on February 10, 2012. Nick was a veteran, a metallurgical engineer who traveled around the world lecturing as an expert in his field, and a man who was married to the same beautiful woman for over 60 years.
Nick was the beloved Husband of Florence Margaret (Van Bergen) (deceased), Father of George N. (Cheryl), Michael G. (Constance L.), Marilyn J. Brannen (Daniel), Hilary M., and Steven E., Grandfather of 15, Great Grandfather of 8, Son of Peter and Martha (Popovich) Wukovich (deceased), Brother to Steven Wukovich (deceased), Emil Wukovich (a.k.a. Milan) (deceased), Victor Wukovich (deceased), Peter Wukovich (deceased), Ella Wukovich (deceased), Mildred (Wukovich) Petroff (deceased), George Wukovich (deceased), and Martha (Wukovich) Grove (deceased).
Nick was the youngest first-generation American Son born of immigrant parents from Eastern Europe who, themselves, never learned how to read and write. Nick was a humble and accomplished man who worked hard for his family, both immediate and extended. Nick converted from the Eastern Orthodox Church to Roman Catholicism when he married his beloved Wife, Florence, and was a devoted church goer whose ‘family first and always’ tenet was evident to all who knew him. He found contentment throughout his life, especially in his later years, enjoying the fruits of his and Florence’s well-deserved retirement. Though he suffered through the trials of poor health near the end, he passed with his loved ones by his side and in the peace of a life well lived.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Nick’s accomplished life was held on February 13, 2012, at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Coral Springs, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 12 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., where friends may call SATURDAY, MAY 16, 2026, from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. Nick will be interred together with Florence at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Avon, OH following the service.
Nick made the world a better place for the 83 years that the world was able to have him. That is his 83-year legacy. His survivors are proud and grateful for his guidance in life and love him very much. May God continue to bless him with peace and contentment in his final rest with Florence.
