Orville C. "Brit" Britton, 91, of Olmsted Falls passed away peacefully in his sleep July 8, 2011. Beloved husband of Viola (nee Collins), loving father of Linda Zinn, Mary Nix (David), and Margie Britton, cherished grandfather of Tyler Britton-Zinn, David Aaron Nix (Kristin), and Jacob Nix, he was "Uncle Bub" to his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Britton, his sisters Verle Steibel, Marjorie Anjiolet, and Mildred Beregi, and his brother, Willard. Born August 16, 1919, Brit was a U.S. Army Medical Corps veteran of World War II. He was an avid collector of toy soldiers, which he repaired and restored for friends around the world. Private burial will be followed by a celebration of Brit's life on Sat., July 16, 2-4 pm, in the Community Room at The Renaissance, 26376 John Rd., Olmsted Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Welcome House, 20575 Center Ridge Rd., Ste. 200, Rocky River, OH 44116, or The Renaissance Health Center.
