Pastor Thomas E. "Tom" Brown, 67, of North Olmsted, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 27, 2020.  Tom was born on August 4, 1952, in Cleveland, and had been a resident of North Olmsted since 1991.  He was a veteran, and proudly served in the US Air Force from 1970-1973.  He attained the rank of Sergeant, and served with the Air Force Red Horse Unit in Viet Nam.  Tom received his Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from California State University at Northridge, his Master's degree in Ministry from Luther Rice College and Seminary in Lithonia, GA, and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Glendale University College of Theology in Glendale, CA.  He was currently doing pastoral training with Training Leaders International throughout the developing world.  Tom was also a local church pastor for many years serving churches in California and Ohio.  He was a member of Old Oak Bible Church in Middleburg Heights.  He devoted his life to preaching and teaching the Word of God.  It was his ambition and his heart's desire to know Christ and to make Him known.  Tom Brown is survived by: his beloved wife and partner in ministry for 39 years, Lou Ann (nee Kolberg); his daughter, Emily Sandham (Clayton) of Rocky River; four sons, Wesley (Katie) of Brooklyn, Colin (Rebecca) of Germany, Jonathan of San Francisco, CA, and William (Lisa) of Yorktown, VA; eight grandchildren, Sophia, Annika, Noah, Lydia, Emma, Klara, Theodore and David; and by two sisters, Noreen Brown (Steve Flint) and Kathryn Smith (Kurt), both of California.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward E. and Margaret R. (nee Riendeau) Brown.  The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6, 2020, from 4 to 8 pm at the Chambers Funeral Home, 29150 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted.  The funeral service will be Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:30am at Providence Church, 35295 Detroit Rd., Avon.  Burial with full military honors will be Monday, March 9, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.  The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to either Frontline Missions International or Training Leaders International.  Liston Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, is handling the arrangements.
