PATRICIA LILLIAN "PAT" HELLEBRANDT (nee Davis), age 84.  Pat was born October 24, 1934 in Flushing, Queens, New York to Margaret and Charles Davis.  Some of her happiest memories were of days spent riding her pony on her grandparents' farm with her sister, Ann.  "Roast Beef Patsy & Hungry Ann."  She had many fond memories of time spent with her Uncle Danny, Uncle Patty & Aunt Mary.

She married Horst G. "George" Hellebrandt in November of 1954 and they settled in Centereach, L.I., NY.  They raised four children:  Michele Hamiel (Don) of San Diego, CA, Peggy Gutzman (Tom) of Berea, OH, Linda Mackay (Neil) of Dayton, OH and Paul Hellebrandt (Thelma) of Gloucester, VA.

Pat spent 18 years as a leader for the Girl Scouts of America.  First Brownies, then Junior Girl Scouts and finally as a Senior Scout Leader.  That was one of her greatest memories.  She taught all of the young women in her circle the value of hard work and the satisfaction they could achieve as an end result.  She took her Senior Scouts from Centereach, L.I. to Bermuda five years in a row with funds earned from Square Dances, Breakfasts with Santa and newspaper drives.  Pat's Senior Scouts took the veterans to church once a month to the Northport Veterans Hospital.  She was very civic-minded and was always volunteering their services to the community.

In 1977 George accepted a position in Gloucester, VA and the family relocated there.  They divorced in 1997.  Pat spent the next ten years on her farm in White Marsh, VA raising goats (way too many), pigs, sheep and chickens.  Her favorite companions were her Australian Shepherds, Whisky, Shadow and finally, Blue.

Two broken hips forced her into retirement and she spent several years travelling between her daughters' homes in California and Ohio.  Pat's remaining days were spent at The Riverview Pointe Care Center in Olmsted Falls, OH, where she passed peacefully on October 12, 2019.

Pat was preceded in death by her ex-husband, George; her sister, Ann Barker; her mother and stepfather, Margaret and Frank Auld; and her stepbrother, Frank Auld.  She is survived by her daughters and son, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her half-sister, Vivian Castignola (John); her sister Ann's husband, Walter Barker; and many nieces and nephews.
