IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia M.
Kovach
January 23, 1933 – October 22, 2025
PATRICIA M. KOVACH (nee Greer) (Jan. 23, 1933-Oct. 22, 2025), a devoted mother, grandmother and woman of deep Catholic faith, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
A lifelong resident of the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland, Patricia was a proud member of St. Patrick's Parish, where her faith led her to serve as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Legion of Mary and dedicate more than 15 years to caring for the nuns at St. Joseph's Infirmary. Her kindness, patience, and compassion touched countless lives through her acts of service.
An Irish-American through and through, Patricia cherished her Irish heritage as well as her two trips to Ireland with her late husband Steven Kovach. She loved traditional Irish music as well as Billy Joel, Elvis Presley and other artists. A loyal Cleveland Indians, now Cleveland Guardians, fan she could be found on a summer day cheering from the stands of Municipal Stadium or her favorite chair at home.
Family was the pulse of Patricia's life. She was a devoted mother of three children and the beloved grandmother of nine grandchildren. In their retirement, Patricia and Steve loved the opportunity to care for their grandchildren.
In her later years, Patricia very much enjoyed a dinner with family followed by a scenic drive through the Cleveland Metroparks, which she enjoyed even more with a cup of coffee. Throughout her life it seemed Patricia seldom met a person — or a cup of coffee — she didn't like.
During her childhood, Patricia enjoyed family trips to West Virginia with her brothers, John, Don and George who all preceded her in death as did her parents Arthur and Gladys Greer.
Patricia's unwavering faith, devotion to family and enduring Irish spirit leave a legacy of kindness and laughter to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Carolyn) Kovach, Gary (Alison Hoffa) Kovach, and Lisa (Tom) Dolan, as well as grandchildren, Emily Nar, Molly Nar, Keegan Kovach, Matthew Kovach, Marley Kovach, MacKenzie Roberts, Clare Dolan, Elle Roberts and Gavin Roberts.
