PATRICIA LOU LIVENGOOD (née WEBER) - 10/24/32 to 05/16/2026
Patricia (Patty) Lou Livengood of Berea, Ohio, passed away on May 16, 2026. She was the last matriarch of the Harnagy lineage, having lived and thrived on Harnagy Street since 1932. Her grandfather, Peter Harnagy, purchased the acreage comprising Harnagy Street while working in the Berea Sandstone Quarry. Peter developed the acreage into multiple lots, providing three lots for each of his children; one for a home, one for a garden, and one for future use. Having been born at the end of the Great Depression to Rudolph and Mildred (née Harnagy) Weber, growing up during World War II, Patty was supported by her parents as well as a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins living on Harnagy Street and in Strongsville.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Ned E. Livengood in 2012, infant son John, her parents, Rudolph L. and Mildred A. Weber (née Harnagy), sister-in-law Norma (née Livengood) Sedlock, brothers-in-law Richard Livengood and Gary Livengood.
She is survived by children Mark (Rachel) of Arden, NC, Patrick (Lynn) of Medina, OH, and Ann (Jeff) Fudale of Berea. Also surviving are grandchildren Mary-Patricia (Ira) Wray of Baton Rouge, LA, Hannah (Brian) Kreitzer of Miamisburg OH, Molly (Chris) Deeks of Medina, OH, Garrett (Megan) Livengood of Brookpark, OH, Jacob Fudale of Strongsville and Brendan Fudale of Broadview Heights, and five great grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Henry Lee, Andrew, Weber, Maisie and Graham. In addition to her immediate family Patty is survived by sisters-in-law Marian Bever and Jane Livengood as well as many cousins.
Patty was a graduate of Berea High School and obtained a B.S.N from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. Patty dated a star football and baseball player Ned who she later married. Patty worked at Cleveland City Hospital School of Nursing on the faculty, now known as Metro Hospital. Upon starting a family Patty was a homemaker and focused on her family and became a care giver to many family members and friends through the years. Of special note is the care she and Ned provided to their childhood friend Jim Saile. She enjoyed helping others and for many years volunteered with friends preparing meals at The City Mission in Cleveland. Patty treasured her high school friendships and continued to attend gatherings of her classmates throughout her life.
The family wishes to thank family, neighbors and friends for the their continued support through the years including sisters-in-law Jane Livengood and Marian Bever, Patricia Ciancutti, Pat Noch and her late husband Charlie, Paul Harlemert and his late wife Jan, Marilynn Smith and her late husband Von, Paul Hamer and his late wife Onie, The Kujanek Family, The Fudale Family, special friends John and Jane Groslag and family of Palmer Rapids, ON, Canada and Brian Groslag of Palmer Rapids, ON, Canada.
