PATRICK RICHARD KILCOYNE, 85, of Cleveland, OH and Largo, FL died on Monday, September 2, 2024 peacefully after a long illness. Born on April 17, 1939 in Cleveland, he was the son of Patrick "Sonny" Kilcoyne of Dooagh, Achill, Ireland and Catherine "Kitty" (nee Gibbons) of Liverpool, England and was the 6th of 7 children. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph High School and later served in the US Army where he trained at Fort Knox, was trained on tanks, and worked in the motor pool.
Pat became a Cleveland Firefighter in the 1960s, where he served for over 30 years, and was a plumber doing extensive work on the Westside of Cleveland for many years. He loved music and dancing, and played several musical instruments. He was also well known for his sense of humor and comradery.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Forzano, originally of Queens, NY, his children with his first wife Janet (nee Riley): Patrick J, Mary Catherine (Joe Porter), Joe (Krysti McCrone), Tom (Blythe Pavone), Jack (Jamie Wetzel), Ann (Jason Shelton), Dan (Trish Adams-Houston), and Sarah; his 8 grandchildren: Ryan, Tommy Mancini, Daniel, Mary Elizabeth, Lucia, Emmett, Lillian, and Christian; his great-grandson Fain; his siblings Jack, Tom, Kathleen, and Terry; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Gorman and brother James F. Kilcoyne.
Relatives and friends are invite to meet for a graveside service with military honors, Saturday, September 7, Holy Cross Cemetery (14609 Brookpark Rd.) at 1 P.M. (Please meet inside the gate) Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DRIVE AT PURITAS, FRIDAY 4-7 P.M.
