PAULINE HATTON (nee George), age 90. Beloved wife of Edward (deceased); dear mother of Mary Easter (Gary), James (Candace), Anne Feys (Dr. Jean, deceased), Thomas, Robert, Louise Connors (Patrick), Joan Vichill (Erik), and Richard (Linda); cherished grandmother of Amanda Rossi (Dan), Michael Easter (Amanda), Christopher Hatton (Rachel), Allison Zuppo (Mark), Benjamin Feys, Brian and Sarah Hatton; Timothy (Jordan), Gregory, Kathryn and Christopher Connors; Emma, Carrie, Abigail, Ellen and Andrew Vichill; Claire and Daniel Hatton; and Bradley and Andrew Huffman (Stefanie); great-grandmother of Jack, Max and Abby Rossi; Elise and Shaker Hatton; Ethan and Jaxson Hatton; Evelyn Connors; and Lena Huffman; sister of Virginia Johnson and the late Victoria Hayden, Evelyn George, Josephine Ferris, Isabelle George, Mary Rose Hudson, Victor and Thomas; sister-in-law of Corrine George; aunt to 22 nieces and nephews. Pauline was born in Orville, Ohio where she lived until moving to Cleveland after high school. She was a gifted singer and aspired to a career in music, performing briefly with a professional theater group until her career path was interrupted when she met her handsome husband-to-be at the Aragon Ballroom in Cleveland. Throughout the succeeding 64 years of marriage and the raising of eight children, Pauline never lost her desire to sing and perform. She frequently sang at events and weddings for relatives and friends. Her home was always filled with the sound of her singing along with the radio or Hi-Fi. Broadway musicals were her favorites. She became an enthusiastic member of her church's ambitious theater group, quickly becoming a featured performer in many of the group's musicals. She was complimented and remembered for many years for her leading role in "My Fair Lady". Pauline employed her exceptional office skills at several Cleveland companies and at her husband's sales company to help contribute to the support of the family at a time when working mothers were not as common as today. She was a wonderful cook and especially adept at preparing Middle Eastern cuisine long before it became popular. Pauline loved golf and tennis and, when her physical activity was limited, became a formidable opponent at cards and scrabble with friends and family. Most of all, however, she was caring, compassionate and a person of strong faith which she demonstrated to her family and friends every day of her life.
