PENELOPE J. O'CONNOR, age 73, beloved wife and soul mate of the late Page Stephens; dear sister of Edward (Rose) and William (Pamela) O'Connor; loving niece, aunt, cousin and friend of many.  Passed away October 15, 2023, from complications of leukemia.

Born in Ithaca, New York to the late C. Donald and E. Kay (nee Laisy) O'Connor, Penelope graduated valedictorian from Grand Island High School in New York.  She then attended and graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College.  Penelope studied in France and Germany and attended the University of Montreal Library School where she studied in French and earned a master's degree in library science.  Penelope began working for the Cleveland Public Library system where she spent her entire career.  She was an avid birder and former president of the Cleveland chapter of the Audubon Society. She was kind generous, and loved by everyone who knew her.

A celebration of Penelope's life will be held May 4, 2024 at the Solon Banquet Center, 35000 Portz Parkway, Solon, OH 44139 between 12-4 PM. Please RSVP to William O'Connor 716-773-7621.
