Quincey Odell Pauley, 77, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Beloved husband of 55 years of the late Jean, father of Kyra Robertson (Harley), Donald, and the late Timothy; grandfather of Kristen Wright (Michael); son of the late Thelma (nee Williams) and Harry Pauley; youngest brother of the late Harry Pauley; the late Robert, the late Edward, Landon, Harold, David, the late Virginia Cantley, and the late Margaret Marker; uncle and friend of many.

Quincey was born in 1945 and grew up in South Charleston, West Virginia. His father was a farmer and his mother was a homemaker. Quincey was the youngest of nine surviving children and the first to be born in a hospital. He graduated from South Charleston High School. In 1964, Quincey enlisted in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He served honorably in Vietnam as a Security Policeman achieving the rank of Airman First Class. Quincey met his wife Jean while on leave in 1966. Their love developed through mailed correspondence. In August of 1967, Quincey returned from Vietnam and married his wife seventeen days later. They had two surviving children—Kyra (1968) and Donald (1971). They tragically lost their son, Timothy (1970), shortly after birth. Quincey worked at Standby Screw & Machine Products in Berea for most of his career.  In 1987, Quincey welcomed granddaughter, Kristen (Kyra) into the family. Quincey retired in 2012.  Quincey was a member of New Community Baptist Church.

Quincey had many hobbies and interests. Quincey enjoyed following Cleveland, Ohio State University, and West Virginia University sports and attended many games throughout his lifetime. Quincey also enjoyed gardening, bowling, video games, and technology. He had a great love for animals, especially his dogs. Above all else, Quincey loved his family and friends. Quincey enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters and extended family. He was a favorite uncle to all. Quincey was a good friend to his coworkers, neighbors, and members of his church. Quincey never met a person that he couldn't befriend and had many stories to tell.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12 p.m. in the Chambers Funeral Homes of North Olmsted, 29150 Lorain Rd. at Stearns, where family may call Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
