RICHARD WILLIAM LINN was born March 2, 1937 and passed away on June 19, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 56 years,  Jean (nee Koenig).  He is also survived by his two sons, Gary (Christine) and William (Lori); four grandchildren, Emma, Elizabeth, Gregory and Gavin; sister, Phyllis Helms (Gordon, deceased); and many nieces and nephews. Dick was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended St. Paul East 55 ^th grade school and graduated from Lutheran High School (1954), Valparaiso University (1958) and received his Master's Degree from Ohio State and Kent State. Dick started teaching at Lutheran High School West in 1959 and taught there for 43 years. He taught Biology, coached football, basketball, golf and track. He was the Principal for 4 years and also assistant principal for many years. He retired in 2002. He was also inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Lutheran West in 1997.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 23, at 10 A.M. at Lutheran High School West, 3850 Linden Rd., Rocky River, OH  44116.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., FRIDAY 1-4 AND 6-8 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Lutheran High School West or Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
