RICHARD D. "DICK" MOLES. This world has lost a very special person. Dick was a gentle soul, always had a friendly smile and a kind thing to say about everyone. Dick was born in Lakewood Ohio on December 19, 1925. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Patricia (Armstrong) Moles, and his parents, Thomas Oliver and Ruth Rea Moles. He leaves his son Michael of Kansas City, MO; his daughters Elyn Mamrak (Bob) of Louisville, KY, and Kathleen Tompkins (Bob) of Medina; four grandchildren – Colby Mamrak (Meghan), Nicole Mamrak Sharpe (Stephen), Joshua Moles (Jessica) and Katie Tompkins (fiancée Jared); and 3 great grandchildren – Riley Sharpe, Kyaira Sharpe and Elliot James Moles.

Dick graduated from Lakewood High School in 1944. He enlisted and proudly served in the Army Air Forces in the American Theatre of Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe from 1944 to 1946. On his return from World War II, he attended and graduated from Ohio State University. Dick enjoyed a successful career in sales, and retired after 37 years at Mead Johnson Nutritionals.

Dick was a member of Kiwanis of Lakewood for many years. In their golden years, Dick and Carolyn were residents of The Renaissance in Olmsted Township where they both thrived. Special thanks to the kind and loving nurses and staff of both the Renaissance and of the Hospice of the Western Reserve, those persons who bravely cared for our father during a time of national crisis and who continue to support residents and patients on the front line.

Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest at the Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River OH next to Carolyn, his best friend in life.

A celebration of life service will take place at a later date. If you should desire, memorial contributions may be sent to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, P. O. Box 72101, Cleveland, OH 44192.
