RICHARD JOSEPH PRZYBYSZ "RICK" "RED POLACK" retired Chemical & Solvent Tank-Truck driver for 34yrs for ChemCentral (formally Ohio Solvents & Chemicals), member of Teamsters Local #507. Retired as of May 1, 1996. Veteran of the Korean Conflict, honorably discharged Nov. 1, 1952. Former parishioner of St. Vincent DePaul Church. Member of the following, Holy Name Society, Usher, Eucharistic Minister, treasurer of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and former member of the parish council and parish finance committee. Received the Northwest Deanery Holy Name Society Distinguished Service Award, May of 1997. Member of the Knights of Columbus in the 3rd degree, Brookside Council #3297, Corpus Christi Church. Performed duties of 1st vice-commander for two terms and post Adjutant for three terms and served as a member of the rifle squad of Casmier Pulaski Post #30, Polish Legion of American Veterans USA. Received the Man of the Year award of Pulaski Post #30 May 16, 1992 and the Man of the Year Award of the Ohio State Dept, Polish Legion of American Veterans Dec. 1, 2007. An avid bowler and golfer, with a hole-in-one, Aug. 1, 1999 during an Ohio Teamster Conference Golf Outing. Survived by his lovely wife Mary Lee (nee Jasko) and their five children, Richard G. D.C. (Katherine) of Battle Creek, Mi., Jeffery A. D.C. (Donna) of Highland Hts., Oh., Kathleen L. Graham, B.S.N. (Christopher) of Merrill, Wi., Mary Kay Peterson, M.D. of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Patricia A. Vivolo of Singapore. Eleven grandchildren and the oldest was born on the same day as his father and grandfather, April 28. This event made news headlines and was entered into Ripley's Believe It or Not. Great grandfather of 2. Brother of Joann Thompson and the late Conrad. Passed away September 6, 2013. Funeral Mass Monday, September 9, Mary Queen of the Apostles Church (3644 Engle Rd. Brook Park) at 11 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND 4420 ROCKY RIVER DRIVE AT PURITAS SUNDAY 2-6 P.M.
