RICHARD J. "RICK" MAHON JR. age 58, of Adams Township, PA, formerly of North Olmsted, OH, passed peacefully on June 28, 2014 after a courageous 15-month battle with cancer. Beloved husband for 34 years of Robin (nee Nicholson); devoted and proud father of Richard M., Jaclyn and Alec; brother of Blasé (Mary); son of the late Alice (nee Muto) and Richard Mahon Sr; loving nephew of Jean Riviello (James); son-in-law of Margaret Nicholson, stepson of Carolyn Mahon, all "second mothers" to him; also survived by many loving relatives and friends. Rick enjoyed a 24-year career at U.S. Steel in both Lorain and Pittsburgh. An avid golfer and legendary Philadelphia sports fan, Rick was a fun loving guy with a great sense of humor and wit to match. He especially enjoyed watching his children play sports in high school and college. Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 2, St. Richard Church (26855 Lorain Rd.) at 10:00 AM. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
