IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert M.
Catino
May 18, 1939 – October 30, 2024
ROBERT M. CATINO, age 85, of Westlake, passed away October 30, 2024. Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Helen (nee Kosik); loving father of Mike (Gena), Bob (Megan) and Lisa Craven (Keith); proud grandfather of Hailey, Ella, Giovanna, Ava, and Ben; dear brother of Linda Fontana (Bob).
Robert was born on May 18, 1939, to Sylvester and Mary Catino. After graduating from Cathedral Latin High School, Robert attended John Carroll University. He became a teacher at Holy Name High School in Parma before pursuing a career at Rini Rego (RISER) supermarkets, where he oversaw accounting and payroll departments. Robert went on to work at Giant Eagle, assuming responsibility for the company's real estate division.
He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandkids that knew him as Papa. He was an aquarium hobbyist of both fresh and salt-water fish, enjoyed fishing, playing the piano, organ, and gardening. Robert's passion for gardening also won him a second-place spot in the 2016 Westlake in Bloom. On holidays and special occasions, Robert never missed delivering handmade floral arrangements to friends and family. He also loved to cook with his wife Helen, especially during the holidays where their Westlake home would be the usual gathering place for extended family and friends throughout the years.
