ROBERT F. GALLAGHER, age 88, devoted husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" (nee McHugh); much loved father of Michael (Cynthia) of Brookfield, WI, Patrick (deceased), Maureen Hunter (Tim) of Oak Park, IL and Sheila Cavalaris (John) of Lake Forest, IL; proud grandfather of David (Carrie) and Jeff Gallagher; Ryan, Matt (Bridget) and Kelsey Hunter; John, Connor, Emily and Christopher Cavalaris; great-grandfather of Jack and Sidney Gallagher; beloved son of the late Nellie (nee McDonnell) and John Gallagher; cherished brother of Margaret "Peg" Gallagher, Eileen Chambers (Daniel B., deceased) and the late John (Fran), Mary Cooney (John), Frank "Bud", Thomas "T", Patrick "Doc" (Coletta), Eleanor Miller (Robert) and Nancy Ahern (Jack); uncle and great uncle of many. Bob's positive spirit endeared him to all who crossed his 88 year long path.  His reach was far and wide, across generations and across the six states that he called home at various times in his life. He treasured faith, family and friends and considered himself blessed to be surrounded by all three his entire life. Passed away July 2, 2017 in Lake Forest, IL. Funeral Mass Saturday, July 8, Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Dr.) at 10 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR.
