Robert W. Klabunde was born to Emil and Lydia Klabunde on December 9, 1930 and passed away on September 12, 2024 at the age of 93. He was born in Milwaukee, WI. He met his wife there in high school, Dorothy E. Spaar and in 1950 they married. They have been married for over 73 years. Before their family came along, Bob served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home they had three children, Michael, Mark and Susan and eventually four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is survived by his one sibling, Ruth Goebel.

Bob's career path extended from WI, IL and OH. The dominant portion of his career he was a General Mills District Manager. His greatest joy other than his family, was serving in his church for decades in many capacities. One of these passions was his collaboration with the Ascension Lutheran Church and Early Childhood Center in North Olmsted, Ohio.

In 2008 he was honored to be the North Olmsted Citizen of the Year supporting and serving his community. He also received the key to the city for his service at the North Olmsted Senior Center. He was the President of the NE Ohio Lutheran Cemetery Association and one of his greatest privileges was to be invited to go to Washington D.C. on the American Veteran's Military Honor Flight. And for fun, Bob loved golfing whenever he could and eating anything chocolate.

He died knowing of his salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ; and loving his wife and entire family with his whole heart.
