ROBERT FRANCIS LALLIER, JR., age 70, was the oldest son of the late Robert and Ann (Baker) Lallier.  He was born in Watertown, NY on December 7, 1953 and spent his childhood in Gouverneur, NY.  He graduated from Gouverneur High School, where he participated in sports, choir, many extra-curricular activities and excelled academically. He continued his education at the Coast Guard Academy and graduated in 1976. After serving his time as a Coast Guard officer, he earned his Masters degree in Environmental Engineering and started his engineering career at NASA's John Glenn Research Center in Sandusky, OH, where he worked until his retirement. Although he loved returning to his hometown for family events and his favorite member-guest golf tournament, Ohio became his home. An avid lover of all sports, he never missed a Cleveland Indians opening day and enjoyed watching football at his favorite watering hole with friends. It was in Cleveland, where he met the love of his life, Jennifer Rogers, and were married on January 16, 2016.

Bobby always led with his heart in everything he did and with everyone he touched.  He was an avid reader, an expert Jeopardy and Trivia game player and would play cards like a shark. He started each day with his coffee and the NY Times crossword puzzle, which he could complete in no time. He was a loving husband, brother, devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews and a faithful friend to so many.

It is with tremendous sadness that the Lallier family announces the unexpected passing of our beloved, Bobby, on October 4, 2024. Bob was recently undergoing cancer treatment.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his sisters Jeanne (John) Sheridan, Mary, Susan, Anne (Joseph) Reilly, and Catherine (Michael) Patneaude, and his brothers John (Elizabeth), James (Tari), Daniel (Diane) and Francis (Michele) and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his niece Nicole Lallier.

Funeral Service Monday, October 14, at 5 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, where friends may call MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2 P.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.  Private inurnment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (Seville, OH). A Celebration of Life will be held in Gouverneur, NY at a later date.
