ROBERT ENEAS LAVELLE, age 88, of Fairview Park, passed away December 25, 2020 at The Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio. Born on July 8, 1932 he was the son of Irish immigrants Celia Lavelle (nee McNulty) and Patrick Lavelle.

Robert "Bob" spent four years serving our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict while fulfilling his love for travel. After earning an honorable discharge, Bob spent his career working for NASA and serving as the treasurer of The Serviceman's Club until his retirement in 1987.

He was the beloved husband of the late of Dorothy M. (nee Stimac); father of Andrew Stehulak (Kathleen) and Kimberly Riffle; grandfather to Michael, Christopher (Tammy), Benjamin (Laurie) Ashley Bodossian (Rick) and Autumn Riffle; great-grandfather to 5 and dear uncle and friend to many.

Bob can be remembered by two words:  golfing and beer. While spending many days on the golf course with the County Mayo Golf League and many others leagues, he spent much of his other time at Gunselman's Tavern with many of his friends.

During his stay at the Veterans Home as his health declined, Bob's love for travel and adventures began in his mind. He would tell us all about his adventures and missions. At the spry age of 88, he finished his last adventure with the mysterious Jen H. He was snuck out of the Veterans Home by his cohort to complete one last mission...to get a hippopotamus for his daughter for Christmas. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
