Robert C. McManamon Jr. (Bob), a man of family and faith, passed away May 23, 2024, at the age of 70.

Bob is survived by his wife Colleen (Gallagher). The two were inseparable in their 49 years of marriage, and shared a rare and supportive bond. Colleen was by Bob's side for every step of his six-year fight with cancer.

Bob also is survived by his daughter Erin Lally (Tom), son Brian (Emily), daughter Nora Melzer (Nick) and daughter Mary Clare (Joe Novak). Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert McManamon and mother Janet (Corcoran) McManamon.

Bob cherished every moment he could spend with his children and their families. His 11 grandchildren range in age from nine months to 19 years: Joe, Colleen, Kevin and Declan Lally; Lucy, Tommy, Jack and Molly McManamon; Collette and Eve Melzer; and Robert (Bobby) Joseph Novak.

Born July 29, 1953, Bob grew up in Fairview Park with two sisters and one brother: Mary Kay, Hugh and Clare.Bob went to grade school at St. Angela Merici and was a 1971 graduate of St. Ignatius High School. He truly was a man for others.

He was vice president in private banking and a regional director in Title Insurance before founding Erieview Title Agency in Westlake in 2006. He and his son Brian worked side by side for 12 years until Bob retired and Brian became president in 2018.

Bob was an avid golfer. He had three holes-in-one and won the Red Tail Cup twice, with Brian as his partner the second time. He loved carpentry and renovated several homes with Colleen. Bob loved the open road. He made many trips to West Virginia (his favorite state) with family and once made the trip from South Florida across Route 66 to New Mexico, a lifelong dream.

Bob's sense of humor charmed anyone who met him. Conversations usually led to a story that ended with a joke. Bob believed that love and laughter were the keys to happiness, and hard work and dedication the keys to success.

Faith was a central force in Bob's life. He was a man of prayer and a man of God who visited the Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Belleview and volunteered as a member of St. Angela (Fairview Park) and Holy Trinity (Avon).

Bob was generous yet humble, and believed that anyone could be extraordinary by doing ordinary things with kindness. He was a caring, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

A funeral Mass in Bob's memory will be held Thursday, May 30 at St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd.) at 10:00 A.M. A private family burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
