ROBERT "BOB" MEGREY, age 68, of Brunswick, OH born June 10, 1952 and passed away on March 25, 2021. He was a beloved husband of wife Donna (Kelley) Megrey, loving father to his two children Angela and Andrew Megrey (Danielle) and grandchildren Grayson and Maelee Megrey. Dearest brother to Joe Megrey (Cindy), Cathy Megrey, and Dave Megrey. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna Marie Megrey and brother Bernard Megrey.

Bob was full of life, love, and lived to make people laugh and have a good time. He made every child feel so special that everyone called him Uncle Bob, or Santa! He loved music, tropical weather, and gathering friends and family to come and enjoy his pool on a hot day. He got his start in Mechanical Engineering at Warner and Swasey, and held positions at Akron Brass, and Stanley Tools to name a few. He loved and cherished his family the most. Always telling jokes, and the life of the party, he will be forever missed by family, friends, and anyone he met.

The family welcomes friends to join them on Monday March 29, from 9:30-10:30am at St. Ambrose, in Brunswick, OH followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am.  You can watch the mass on the following boxcast:

In lieu of flowers, the family requests to make a donation to a foundation near to Bob's heart, webwhispers.org . Bob beat cancer twice, and to aid in that effort had a laryngectomy. He didn't let that slow him down, and was still able to talk, get in the pool, and have a great quality of life. Because of this he often helped many people on the fence about getting the procedure, which ultimately helped save lives. Please consider donating to this great cause.
