ROBERT F. SCHLACHTER, age 87, beloved husband of 59 years to Dolores (nee Kerkel); loving father of Robert C., Sharon Howser (William), and Stephen; dear grandfather of Katelyn Schlachter and Colin and Sean Howser; brother of Fred (Marilyn, deceased) and the late Lois; uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend of many.  Mr. Schlachter was a proud U.S. Army veteran, Korea.  He was a longtime employee for GM and was a member of the Third Degree K of C at St. Bernadette Church.  Passed away on August 4, 2020.  Funeral Mass Friday, August 7, St. Bernadette Church (2256 Clague Rd., Westlake) (facemasks are required) at 12 Noon.  Interment St. Joseph Cemetery (Avon).  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., FRIDAY 10:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. where social distancing will be observed and facemasks are required.
