ROBERT JOHN ZUDELL, age 89, of Westlake, and a three-year resident of Otterbein Nursing Home in Lebanon, OH, was called home to the Lord on October 21, 2015. Born in Coal Ridge, OH, beloved husband of the late Martha M. (nee Lestock); father of Deborah Zudell-Dickey (Charles Dickey), Donna Schuler, John Robert Zudell (Sharon) and Carolyn Wiedeman (Douglas); loving grandfather of Kristin (Matt), Katie, Ben, Alex, Christopher, Maren, Ellie, Lizzy and Andrew; brother of Martha Miller of Waynesboro, VA and Eileen Glesser of Elsmore, OH and the late Andrew, Mary Balint, David and Arthur; memorable uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Proud WWII U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the LCI 614 as a radioman in the Pacific Theatre. A farmer and carpenter all his life, he helped many in his extended family and at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, where he was a faithful member. Robert will be remembered for his hardworking determination and sense of family history.
