ROSEMARY L. KODGER (nee Gabriel) Born August 6, 1920. Daughter of the late Corinne (nee Perrault) and Henry Gabriel. Passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short illness on July 31 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home. Rosemary was born in Lakewood Hosp. and grew up in Rocky River. She attended St. Joseph Academy and graduated from Flora Stone Mather College in 1941. Rosemary married Orville Kodger in 1941 and raised 12 children in N. Olmsted since 1951. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 yrs., her step-mother Loretta, her brother Richard, her sister Adele and husband Jack Uhr, her son Michael and wife Cindy; grandson Donald Wizorek and great-grandson Gavin Jones. Rosemary was a lifelong devout Catholic with a special devotion to the rosary. Rosemary was an active member and volunteered at St. Richard until she became a member of St. Clarence in 1995. She was active in Gentle Woman, Rosary Groups and the Ladies Guild. She also taught PSR at St. Richard's. Rosemary was proud of having been published 8 times in national magazines. Rosemary was always devoted to her family and loved all of her 36 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children Kenneth & Lois (nee Fridrich), Carol & Leon Wizorek, Donald & Susan (nee Rouze), David & Gloria (nee Leppard), Audrey & Paul Goebl, Dianne & William Harper, James & Debora (nee Dickens), Patricia & James Ballou, Richard, William & Lese Ann (nee Patterson) and Daniel. Rosemary also has many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. Rosemary is also survived by her sisters Norma Meaker and Virginia Hinders. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Aug. 5, Church of St. Clarence (30106 Lorain Rd.) at 10:00 AM. Interment will be next to her husband Orville at Holy Cross Cemetery.
