IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sally A.
Fleischer
March 30, 1932 – September 20, 2025
SALLY ANN FLEISCHER (nee McHugh), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Samuel Fleischer, and daughter Susan, her son Sam, and grandson Sam. She is survived by her children Steve (Ann), Stan (Patty), Sandy Schneider, Scott (Louise), and Shawn (Cindy). She was the proud grandmother of Keith, Lisa, Michelle, Mark, Kathleen, Nick, Patrick, Austin, Josh, Justin, Jeremy, Jordan, Jesse, and Jill, and leaves behind many cherished great-grandchildren. Sally will also be deeply missed by her loving sisters and brothers, as well as her many nieces and nephews to whom she was a treasured Great Aunt.
Sally lived a life full of kindness, creativity, and devotion to others. She had a gift for making something out of nothing in the kitchen, always ensuring her family and friends were cared for. She loved sending and receiving cards and notes, found joy in Cleveland sports, and could be counted on to help anyone in any way she could. Always joking and quick with a smile, she had a way of lifting spirits wherever she went.
Her hobbies reflected her creativity and caring nature: she enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and always working with children. She volunteered at the Cleveland Play House Theatre, explored ceramics, even attempted painting, and was happiest with a cup of coffee—cream and sugar with just a splash of coffee—in her hand. A lover of travel and adventure, Sally delighted in seeing new places, but also saw beauty in the simple things, especially in the birds she loved to watch. She believed ibuprofen could fix almost anything.
Sally's legacy is one of love, generosity, humor, and perseverance. Her family and friends will forever remember her laughter, her stubborn strength, her endless capacity to give, and the way she brought warmth and joy into every room.
"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand."
