IN LOVING MEMORY OF
SANDRA L. “SANDY”
HUDAK
June 29, 1953 – December 31, 2025
SANDRA "SANDY" HUDAK (née Sepesi), age 72, passed away early on December 31, surrounded by the love of her family. At the time of her passing, she was living in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953, Sandy was the beloved daughter of John and Phyllis Sepesi, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from St Augustine Academy in Lakewood, Ohio and went on to attend Ohio University.
She built her life around what mattered most to her—faith, family, and service to others.
Sandra is survived by the love of her life, Eugene “Gene” Hudak, to whom she was married to for 49 years.
Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was immensely proud of raising their five children: Nathan (Tanja), Lisa (Paul Gambon), Lindsey (Tyler Sowders), Gina (Drew White), and Marcie. She was also a devoted and hands-on mother who coached several of her children’s sports teams and always showed up for all her kids' activities with encouragement and pride.
Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her eleven grandchildren: John Paul, Luke, Theodore, Nicholas, Noah, Josephine, Alexander, Hannah, William, Catherine, and Hazel. She delighted in each of them and cherished every moment spent watching her family grow.
Sandra is also survived by her brothers, John Sepesi (Pam) and Ron Sepesi along with many loving cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A woman of deep faith and tireless dedication, Sandy was an active member of Holy Family Parish in Parma, Ohio for many years, where she helped run the parish summer festival as well as served in the church's Christian Family Movement.
In 2003, Gene and Sandy moved to Jacksonville, Florida beginning a new chapter in their lives. They were members of San Juan Del Rio Parish and later St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Yulee. While in Florida, Sandy continued her lifelong commitment to service as a regular volunteer at Gracie’s Kitchen, quietly and generously helping those in need.
Above all, Sandra Hudak will be remembered as a wonderful woman who created a loving home, raised a close-knit family, had wonderful friends and loved cheering on all the Cleveland sports teams. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply.
