SCOTT E. BUTTREY age 63, of Put-in-Bay, OH and Naples, FL, passed away in Naples on April 4th from complications of a stroke suffered on March 1st. Scott was born on Oct. 18, 1946 in Taylorsville, KY to the late Henrietta (nee McCallister) and Farris Buttrey. Scott has one sister, Alesia Buttrey of Cincinnati, OH. Scott is survived by his wife, Linda A. (nee Bird) and his children, Jennifer Blumensaadt (Todd) (Put-in-Bay), Jason (Put-in-Bay), Michael (Naples), Peter (Naples) and Mary Elizabeth (Naples). Grandfather to Joseph Scott Blumensaadt (Put-in-Bay) and preceded in death by grandson, William "Willie" Blumensaadt (June 11, 2005). Scott grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Princeton High School. During this time, he met his future wife, Linda. After high school and a year at the University of Cincinnati, Scott was drafted by the U.S. Army and spent two years serving his country which included a one year tour of duty in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Scott married his high school sweetheart, Linda, and began his family. Scott was President and C.E.O. of the A.W. Stadler Co., Brookside Meats (Cleveland, OH) and most recently Mossbacks Restaurant (Put-in-Bay). He was a member of Westwood Country Club (Rocky River, OH), Wyndmere Country Club (Naples, FL) and past Commodore of the Put-in-Bay Yacht Club. In his spare time, Scott enjoyed travelling the world, golfing with friends, and especially spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by many.
