SIGMUND W. "SIGGY" NACHMAN, age 78, beloved husband of 58 years to Janet (nee Goromboly); loving father of Bill (Lisa), Dave (Deb), Karen McNamara (Martin) and Stacey Hrabak (Tom); much-loved Grandpa of Christian, Marisa, Julia, Ana, Colin and Finn; great-grandfather of Nieko and Ellie; brother of Ellen Louise Nachman; uncle and great uncle of many. Passed away January 21, 2023.

Sig was a proud member of Local 18 Operating Engineers for 59 Years. As a crane operator he was well respected and trusted among all of the building trades that he worked with.

He spent much of his childhood on Johnson's Island with his family where they built one of the first cottages on the island. Later he, his wife and children built what would become a permanent home for them and a weekend paradise for their friends and family. Many will remember days on the lake and nights by the fire filled with fun, fellowship and stories… lots of stories.

Sig was a Lifetime member of South Cuyahoga Sportsman's Association and the NRA. He had been an avid sportsman and supported youth sporting activities.

He enjoyed working in his ever-expanding garden, cooking, drinking his "Uncle Siggy's" and fiddling with countless (and often endless) projects.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for Sig's Celebration of Life Service and Luncheon on Saturday, January 28, 12 Noon - 3 P.M. at Tom's Country Place, 3442 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon, OH 44011.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Lake & Trails Organization at www.lakeandtrails.org
