STANLEY ARTHUR WORKMAN, age 90, of North Olmsted, OH, passed away on Sunday, December 15. He was born March 2, 1929 in Elm Grove, WV to the late Stanley A. Sr. and Lillie (Cox) Workman. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne (Britton) Workman whom he married April 17, 1954; son James Arthur Workman (Kathi) of Mt. Lebanon, PA; grandsons Riley James Workman, of Galveston, TX, Scott Arthur Workman of Malvern, PA, and Conner Lee Workman, of Philadelphia; and sister Barbara (Workman) Farmer of Orlando, FL, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn (Workman) Goodwill of Meadville, PA.
A graduate of Meadville High School and Allegheny College, he was also a U. S. Navy World War II veteran. Stan spent a long career in retailing, supervising numerous stores and later owning Peddler's Outlet in North Olmsted. Known for his good humor and kindness, he never met a person he didn't enjoy talking to or playing golf with.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27 at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m., at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Road. Memorial contributions can be made to the church or a charity of your choice.
