STEPHEN "STEVE" FRANK KILO, age 81, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, January 31, 2019, after a long-fought battle with mesothelioma.  Steve was born on January 30, 1938 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to the late John Kilo and Julia (Bodnar) Kilo.

While serving his country in the United States Air Force as an Airman 1st Class, Steve met the love of his life, Judith Joyce (Frank) Kilo in Bitsburg, Germany during a holiday meal where his Senior Master Sergeant, Harold Frank, Judy's father, had invited him to his home to spend the holiday.  Steve and Judy fell in love at first sight and were married on June 23, 1962.  Their love and faith in God blessed them with two children, daughter Nancy (Kilo) Pierce and son Stephen Kilo.

Steve's life was filled with joy, laughter, and love.  He was best known for all the running he did throughout the cities of Brook Park and Berea on a regular basis, drawing and painting, serving the Lord (most notably at St. Adalbert Church in Berea), and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a proud man who worked for Ford Motor Company in Brook Park as a Millwright for 46 years.

The Lord continued to place many blessings in Steve's life including three granddaughters, Paige and Taylor (Pierce) Nespor (mother Nancy, husband Joseph), and Joni Kilo (mother Jacky, father Stephen (fiancee Diane Evans)).  In 2016, Steve became a great-grandfather when granddaughter Taylor (Pierce) Nespor and husband Patrick Nespor welcomed Julia Joyce Nespor into the world in late October of 2016.

Steve is survived by his youngest brother Robert Kilo (wife Sylvia Kilo), sister-in-law Millie Kilo, brother-in-law John Kostelnik, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and friends.  Steve was preceded in death by his parents John and Julia Kilo, brother Joseph Kilo (wife Ethel Kilo), sister Mary Ellen (Kilo) Kostelnik, brother John Kilo, sister-in-law Susan (Blackburn) Kilo, and niece Patrice Kilo.
