Mrs. Tennessee "Tenny" Mann died peacefully in the North Ridge Healthcare on Sunday September 8, 2024, in North Ridgeville, OH} at the age of 90.

Tennessee is survived by her children, David Mann and Melodie Seltzer, her grandson Devon Seltzer and her siblings Leo Shannon, Barbara Smith, Milton Shannon, Douglas Shannon, Billie Katherine Shannon, JoAnn Ashley, Virgil Shannon, Darryl Shannon, Roger Shannon, Karren Lloyd and Sharon Shannon. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugen, mother, Alice Shannon, father, Jesse Shannon, and her siblings Elizabeth Chaffin, Sylvia Brown, and Gene Shannon.

Tennessee was born on June 21, 1934} in Kenova WV, married Eugene Mann in 1954 moving to Cleveland OH, where the couple raised their two children.

Her children remember her as a committed mother and homemaker who encouraged them to pursue their goals.  She was also close to her children's many friends and considered them all as family of her own.

Tennessee loved music, especially Motown and Country and even dreamed of being a singer herself when she was young.

She was an active and devout member of the Cleveland Baptist Church for many years.

There will be no public funeral.  She will be interned in a private family ceremony in North Carolina.  The family would like to thank the staff of the North Ridge Health Center for their care in her final days.
