TERRENCE “ TERRY” M. DAW

TERRENCE (“Terry”) MICHAEL DAW, age 77, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family and memories cherished by those who knew him.Terry was the eldest child born to Charles and Eileen (O’Grady) Daw and grew up alongside his siblings Kathleen, Mark, and Kevin. 

He attended Catholic schools throughout his youth and graduated from St. Edward High School, Lakewood, Ohio. Following high school, Terry continued his education at Kent State University and Cuyahoga Community College, where he explored a wide variety of interests and courses of study.Terry dedicated more than 40 years of faithful service to the Americab Company in the Cleveland area. Outside of work, he found joy and creativity in painting, drawing, and in his younger years enjoyed participating in theater productions at Huntington Playhouse. He was an avid reader, a devoted animal lover, and a loyal Cleveland baseball fan who especially enjoyed listening to the Cleveland Indians — now the Guardians — on the radio. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Eileen Daw; his brothers Mark, Kevin, three infant brothers; and his brother-in-law, Bill Schilling.Terry is survived by his loving sister, Kathleen Schilling; nephew, Michael Schilling; niece, Amy (Schilling) Roberts; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Pearse, Olivia, Grace, Amaya, and Jamela. He is also survived by several cousins of the Daw and O’Grady families. 

Funeral Mass Thursday, May 14, St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 20141 Detroit Rd.  Rocky River, OH. at 11AM where friends may call THURSDAY from 10:00-11:00 am in Gathering area. Burial will take place in Wisconsin at a later date. 

Terry will be remembered for his gentle spirit, creative soul, love of family, and lifelong loyalty tothe people and passions he cherished most.
