THOMAS A. KILBANE, age 77; Loving son of the late Celia (nee Corrigan) and James Kilbane. Cherished brother of Marian Flash (Walter, deceased) and the following deceased: Margaret Ann O'Malley (William, also deceased), James (Evelyn), John (Judy Robertson) and Farrell (Mary Lou). Caring uncle of Cathy, Michael, Kevin, Susan Kathleen, Patrick, Matthew, and Christine (deceased) Kilbane, Jacqueline Breslawski, Mary Byrne, Catherine Kearney, Eileen Somogyi (deceased), Colleen Zielske and especially Margaret O'Malley, who provided him with steadfast support and care the last several years. The son of Irish immigrants, family was a top priority. Tom was raised on the west side of Cleveland and graduated from St. Ignatius High School, Class of '62. He spent his entire career working for Union Carbide/Energizer in research. The youngest of a large Irish Catholic family, he learned at an early age never to take life too seriously, much to the exasperation of his parents and siblings. And although he was a man of few words, you always knew where he stood and could count on him to be the voice of reason when it mattered most. As a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, he learned that hope is eternal, especially with the Browns. His true passion, however, could be found on the golf course. In addition to an annual trip to Myrtle Beach, Tom spent countless evenings and weekends with friends on the greens. Enjoy the back nine! Passed away May 27, 2022. Funeral Mass Saturday, June 4, St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd. Fairview Park) at 9:30 A.M. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
