THOMAS J. GUZOWSKI, age 77, beloved husband of 35 years to Linda (nee Borchert); loving father of Tamara Gainer, Theresa McKinley (Charlie), Sean Criswell (Christine) and Patrick Criswell; proud grandfather of Ryan (deceased), Matthew, and Cameron; son of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Rielinger) and Lawrence Guzowski; dear brother of Joanne (deceased), Laurene (deceased), Edward, Lawrence (deceased), Michelle, Patrick, and Mary (deceased); uncle of many.  Thomas was an avid and active member of the sports scene in Northeast Ohio.  He was a player, a coach, an official, and a mentor. Thomas grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where his love of sports grew and expanded exponentially leading him to over 50 years of officiating in football, basketball, and baseball. Those 50 years of service earned him awards from Suburban Umpires Association, as well as a place in their Hall of Fame. Thomas was inducted into the Ohio High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in three sports. He was also a dedicated member of the Cleveland Brown's Touchdown Club Charities, where he also earned an award for his achievements. Passed away September 1, 2024.  Funeral Mass Friday, September 13, St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park) at 11:30 A.M. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., THURSDAY 4-7 P.M.
