Obituary
THOMAS J. POWER, age 74, passed away peacefully after a brief but mighty fight against cancer. A proud Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War and retired Cleveland firefighter, Tom lived a life of service to others-both friends and strangers. Known for his sense of humor, high golf handicap and ability to "fix" almost anything, this man of few words was truly a friend to all. Tom lived an adventurous life, traveling through Europe and Asia with his wife, and loved nothing more than to spend time playing with his three beautiful grandchildren.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Mary, and children Marty (Laina), Tim (Cheryl), and Tricia.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet for his Funeral Mass Friday, December 17, St Brendan Church (4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmsted) at 10 A.M. Burial private Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD. THURSDAY 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
