THOMAS C. SCHMITZ (Tom), beloved husband of 57yrs to Mary Catherine "Kay" (nee Kilfoyle); father of Debbie (Herb Helseth), Sue King (Brian), Tom (Patty), T.J. (Jennie) and Megan Frenz (Jon); grandfather of Matt, John (Ali), Joseph-deceased, Tommy, Katie Schaefer (Duke), Bridget, Kelly, Colin, Abbey, Jack, David (Donna) and Shannon; great grandfather of Jasmine, Morgan, Olivia and Colin; brother of Barbara Beck (Al); uncle and great uncle of many. Tom was a founding member of St. Brendan ("St. Barretts") Church, was owner of Manning Art Studio and an avid Cleveland sports fan. Tom was always lighting up the room with a joke or story that was usually enhanced with his own version of an accent. Living life to its fullest, Tom's life revolved around his wife Kay and their family. He made the most of his friendships. Tom had a way of leaving those he knew and others he just met feeling good and with a smile on their face. Tom loved life and lived life to the fullest. September 24, 2009.
