IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy P.
Higgins
March 17, 1969 – April 20, 2025
TIMOTHY PATRICK HIGGINS passed away suddenly on April 20, 2025, at the age of 56 in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on March 17, 1969, in Lorain, Ohio, "T-Bone" formed lifelong friendships at Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst. He then became a proud Buckeye who graduated from The Ohio State University in 1991, where he found bonds and brotherhood as a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and as a club rugby player. After college he worked as a CPA for several years, later transitioning to facilities manager for the Department of Defense.
Tim was someone who could connect with anyone, no matter their background or story. He had a unique gift for amplifying the best in those around him, becoming everyone's unofficial therapist and best friend. He had a large family and an even larger circle of friends, always making time for his beloved nephews, niece, cousins, and countless others who treated him as family.
He had a passion for the growth of downtown Cleveland, Cleveland sports, international foods, and travel. He also loved rock music, a pastime he shared with many friends at concerts and with his support of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Tim's greatest pride was his family. For 17 years he shared his life with his beloved wife, Dr. Laurel Beverley, and was a devoted father to his daughter, Casey, 15. He was predeceased by his father, John G. Higgins, and his brother, Thomas J. Higgins. He is also survived by his mother, Marilyn C. Higgins (née Stern) and sister, MaryLynn Woodyard (Jason), and bonus nana Vera "Pete" Porter.
Tim's life will be honored with a viewing on Saturday, May 3, from 1-5pm at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED (29150 Lorain Rd. at Stearns). A celebration of life and an Irish goodbye will be held on Sunday, May 4 from 12-4pm at the Shoreby Club in Bratenahl (40 Shoreby Dr.), with a funeral service at 1pm.
His spirit will forever echo in the stories shared and the memories cherished.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Edwin's Leadership & Restaurant Institute, Edwins Leadership & Restaurant or to your local food bank.
