WILLIAM P. LIEDTKE, age 72. Beloved husband of 43 years to Carole Margaret (nee Ledford); loving father of Christine Marie Liedtke (partner, Julie Keeley); brother of Ellyn Hansak (George); cousin of Sr. Patricia Adams, C.S.J. and Maureen Heuler (Stanley, deceased). Bill's outstanding interest in history led him to earn a J.D. degree at Cleveland Marshal Law School and pursue a career as an attorney. He began his legal career as a Staff Attorney in the Cuyahoga Common Pleas Court. He was employed in the legal department of several insurance companies, independent companies and law firms. He was last employed as General Counsel by a private company until his retirement in 2009. During his career, he served on the Arbitration Board for Cuyahoga County; as proctor for Cleveland State University; and, represented his employers in many trials. He enjoyed the practice of law and the many attorneys, judges, and friends he met along the way. Bill remained active in the Northeast Ohio Attorney Association. Bill was also an avid music fan and guitar player. Retirement allowed him to devote more time to his classical guitars and the music websites he used to learn more about music and listen to many forms of music. His wife and daughter will always remember his wry sense of humor. Passed away October 28, 2016.
