IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia J.
Mcmanamon
February 14, 1947 – May 18, 2022
CYNTHIA J. McMANAMON (nee Hahn), age 75, beloved wife of 51 years to Terrence J.; loving mother of Ryan (Andrea), Sean (Nicole) and Colleen Ganor (Doug); proud Grandma of Joseph, Ellen, Connor, Molly, Jack, Will and Nora; daughter of the late Mary (nee Shutt) and Peter Hahn; devoted aunt, cousin and dear friend of many.
Cynthia Jo McManamon passed away peacefully at home, on May 18th 2022, after a long and courageous battle with ALS. She was 75 years old. Cynthia was born in Baltic, Ohio and moved around until landing in Athens, Ohio during her high school year. Up until the very end, Cyn was having weekly zoom meetings with her Athens friends every Sunday night.
Cynthia went on to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she met the love of her life. They met on a double date, however Cyn was with the "other" guy. Terry was able to charm her away and they were married on August 29th, 1970.
Shortly after their wedding, Cyn and Terry began their journey around the world. They called Sydney, Australia home for 2 ½ years. They met a group of lifelong friends, who they continue to keep in touch with today. The journey to and from took them to The Great Barrier Reef, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangkok, New Delie, Athens, Greek Isles, Rome, and Amsterdam.
Once they were settled back in Cleveland, it was time to start their family. Ryan was born in 1975, Sean 1979, and Colleen in 1981. Cyn was a wonderful mother. She was compassionate, strong, patient, and loving.
Cynthia had many passions in life. She loved to travel, she loved her animals. She loved being with her friends and family having fun. She loved to read and scrapbook. She loved watching the sunset and family dinners. She loved to laugh, that infectious laugh.
Cyn fought ALS fiercely, day after day, for nearly 2 years. She never gave up the fight and she never complained, not once. Cynthia will be deeply missed by family, friends, and neighbors. She is at peace with our departed loved ones who left us too soon.
