HOLLY G. KRAUSE (nee Donahue), age 72, of Grafton (formerly a long-time resident of North Olmsted) passed away December 31, 2018 with family by her side. Holly was born in Lakewood, Ohio on April 6, 1946, the daughter of the late Richard and Jeanne (nee Bletch) Donahue and sister of Beth (deceased). Holly graduated from North Olmsted High School in 1964 and later received her LPN from the Lakewood School of Practical Nursing. In 1975, she married William Krause, a Cleveland firefighter and the love of her life, and together they shared a wonderful life and a great marriage. A devoted and loving mother, Holly's children were very precious to her … Robyn Hewitt (Christopher) of Avon, Meghan Milia (Carl) of Strongsville, Annette Sonnenburg (Gus) of Bowling Green, and Allen Kaczor (Karen) of Stover, MO. Holly adored her grandchildren, Bart, Veronica and Benjamin Hewitt and Dominic Milia. Holly dedicated much of her life to caring for others. After a long nursing career she moved on to selling medical supplies and retired as admissions director from the Normandy Manor in Rocky River. In retirement Holly spent most of her free time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her many lifelong friends and visiting her former residents at the Normandy. Holly's ever-present laugh was an unforgettable melody to family and friends, one of many memories they cherish of her warm and generous spirit. Holly especially loved camping at Mohican State Park and sitting by the campfire with her children and grandchildren. Holly delighted in seeing the trees change color in the fall and beautiful sunsets from the home she and William built on several acres of land in Grafton.

Funeral Service Tuesday, January 8, Messiah Lutheran Church (21485 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park) at 11 A.M. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME OF NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., MONDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 P.M.  Memorial contributions in Holly's name may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd., Valley View, OH  44125.
