RICHARD E. "RICH" BARTSCHE, age 78. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Puszakowski); loving father of Christine "Tina" Williams (Bayard); caring grandfather of granddogs Penelope and Delilah; son the late Helen and Edwin Bartsche; brother of Mary Ann (Tony). Rich graduated from St. Ignatius High School and he was part of the first graduating class from Cleveland State University. Rich was extremely involved in the communities of Westlake and Bay Village, and was the owner of Cahoon Nursery on Detroit Road in Westlake. He was a skilled horticulturist and landscape designer and in 2002 he was awarded the Lifetime Dedication and Outstanding Contribution to the Landscape Industry Award from the Ohio Landscape Association. Rich was a kind and generous man with a commitment to his community. He certainly was a "character" and was well known for his unique and special sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Passed away December 6, 2021. Services will private. A Celebration of Life will be held for relatives and friends at a future time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.
